John Sebastian wrote this song, and his jug-band rock group, The Lovin’ Spoonful, released it on their debut album, Do You Believe In Magic. It peaked at #9 on the Billboard Hot 100 in the fall of 1965.

Perry Como was a fixture on the NBC television network when I was a kid. Prior to that he had been a radio singer and a highly prolific and successful recording artist for RCA. Previous to that he was a singer for a dance band, and before that he had been a barber. “Magic Moments” was the “B” side of “Catch a Falling Star” which was a #1 chart topper on the Billboard Jockey chart in January, 1958. “Magic Moments” peaked at #4.
